2. Convert DTS audio in MKV video to AC3 audio

Step 1: After downloading and installing, run Renee Video Editor Pro, and click the (Video Toolbox) button to enter the video editing interface.

Step 2: Next, find the (Add File) button and import the MKV file that needs to be converted into Renee Video Editor Pro.

Step 3: After the video file is added, you can directly search and select the (MKV) format in (Output Format).

Step 4: Then click the (Output Settings) button.

Note: In the file import list, you can see that the audio codec is DCA. This is because DCA is a subtype of the DTS system, so after importing the MKV file to the video editing software, its audio codec may be displayed as DCA.

Step 5: In the (Output Settings) window, check (Show more settings), then select (AC3) in (Audio Codec), and click (OK) to save the settings.

Step 6: After completing the above settings, select the location to save the file in (Output Folder), and then click (Start).

To convert DTS audio within an MKV video file to AC3 audio, follow the outlined method. This ensures compatibility with devices like LG and Samsung that lack DTS support. For direct conversion from DTS to AC3, refer to the subsequent method provided.

3. Convert DTS format files to AC3 format

Step 2: Next, find the (Add File) button and import the DTS file into Renee Video Editor Pro.

Step 3: After importing the file, search and select (AC3), then select the output folder you want, and then click (Start).
