Steps:

① Open the software and get into [Video Toolbox].

② Click on [Add Files] to select the target video.

③ At the right side, click at the camera icon and then select [Settings].

④ Select one of the image formats and click on [OK].

⑤ Finally, click at the camera icon to make screenshots and save in the designated folder.

TipsRenee Video Editor Pro can not only convert video to images, but also edit videos.

You can add watermarks onto the images in case that they are copied or stolen. Here are the steps.

① Click on [Watermark] and then select [Add text watermark].

② Type the text and adjust the watermark settings, such as position, duration time and transparency. After that, click on [√] – [OK] and return to the main interface. Finally, select the output format and output folder, and click on [Start] to save the images.

2. VLC Media Player

VLC Media Player can play various videos, even VCD, DVD and CD. Besides, VLC Media Player can convert video to the image formats, such as JPG, BMP and PNG.

Here are the steps:

① Download and open VLC Media Player. Then, select [Tools] – [Preferences].

② In the following window, select [All] under [Show settings]. Then, select [Filters]. Expand the item and select [Scene filter]. Next, set the image format, image width and height, prefix and recording ratio.

③ After that, the images will be automatically saved while the video is being played. Remember to close this function when this process is finished. Otherwise, the images will be saved every time you play videos.

Besides, you can manually make screenshots by clicking on [Snapshot].

3. VirtualDub

VirtualDub is an easy video editor which can convert video to image and save as JPG, BMP, PNG, JPEG and TGA. Users can set the frame rate and select the video clip. Both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows support this editor.

It is noted that VirtualDub doesn’t have any editing function. Besides, it merely supports AVI and MPG-1, excluding MKV, MP4 and MOV.

Open the video within VirtualDub. Then, select [File] – [Export] – [Image sequence]. Finally, select the image format and save the images.

Part 4: Img2Go

This online converter can convert any image formats to JPG. You can use the online services, without any software installation. What’s more, you can import images from Google Drive, Dropbox and URL. Many options can be set for the uploaded image, such as size, color and DPI. It is noted that the image size not be too large. Otherwise, the conversion may fail or get crashed.
