How to Download Dailymotion Videos

Summary
Dailymotion is a French video-sharing platform and it allows users to upload, share and watch videos. If we want to save our favorite videos on computer or mobile devices, how can we download those videos and save as MP4 format? This essay will provide ways to download videos and save as MP4 format from Dailymotion.

1. Dailymotion

Dailymotion is a French video-sharing platform and it allows users to upload, share and watch videos. Dailymotion provides tons of videos and comparing with the same type of video platforms, its videos have higher quality and support open format “.ogg”. Dailymotion is one of the most favorite video platforms in Europe.

Based on the information of Comscore, Dailymotion is the second largest video platform, ranked only second to YouTube.

2. Add Extensions OFFMP4 (Only available in Firefox)

Notice: Download a Firefox firstly if you don’t have one, because this method only apply to Firefox.

① First open Firefox, then open the menu bar and select [Add-ons].

② In the add attachment manage page, select [Extensions], and then type [OFFMP4] in “Find more extensions” to search.

③ Select and click the first search result [OFFMP4-Best Video Download Helper].

④ Click [Add to Firefox] in the pop-up page to add this extensions to Firefox.

⑤ Then go to Dailymotion and navigate to the video you want to save, there is a red OFFMP4 button in the toolbar on the top right corner when you play the video.

⑥ Now you only need to click this red button and find out the video you want to download, then click [Show Links], select a desired format and resolutions you want, click [Download] to download the video on computer or mobile devices.

If you want to download and save the video as MP4 format, but the downloaded video is not a MP4 format, you can convert it to a MP4 format in order to play it on more devices and players.

② Click the setting button on the bottom right and select the recording format in the setting page (select MP4). Then select [Quality], [Resolution], [FPS] and [Folder] based on your needs. Finally, click “OK”.

③ Then select [User-defined] in [Target] column, [Computer sounds and microphone] in [Audio] and set the output folder in [Output]. Open and play a video that you want to record, then click [Record].

④ Select a recording area and frame size of the video, then click [Record]. Play the video and it will be recorded.

⑤ When the video is end, click [Stop] to stop recording, and then the recorded video will be saved.

4. Convert Other Video Formats to Common MP4 Format

① Open Renee Video Editor Pro, select [Video Toolbox].

② Click [Add files] to select video in other format downloaded from Dailymotion.

③ Select MP4 format in the output format column and save path, click [Start] to convert the video to MP4 format and save to your computer.
