2. Requirements for Facebook home page cover video

① Facebook does not limit the file size of cover videos, but it is recommended to choose a smaller video size to ensure easy viewing for users with slower connections. The total size of your videos on the Facebook site should be less than 1.75GB.

② According to the Facebook Help Center, your cover video should be at least 820 x 312 pixels. For best results, choose a video that measures 820 x 462 pixels (although videos at this size will be slightly cropped when viewed on a computer).

③ Video duration: Cover videos can range from 20 to 90 seconds. Different lengths can be utilized based on specific requirements, such as looping or slowing down to extend the playing time, or trimming or speeding up to shorten it.

④ Facebook’s recommended cover video format is MP4 or MOV, while the maximum resolution is limited to 1080P.

2. How to edit Facebook cover video with Renee Video Editor Pro?

Step 1: After downloading and installing, run Renee Video Editor Pro and select the (Video Toolbox) option.

Step 2: Next, click the (Add Files) button and import the video file to be edited into Renee Video Editor Pro.

Step 3: Import the video and use the editing function in the top menu bar to perform various operations on the video file, including cutting, rotating and cropping, applying special effects, adding watermarks, inserting music, including subtitles, and adding intro/outro.

① Cut: You can edit video clips; adjust the playback speed. You can cut a 20-90 second video clip according to the length requirement of the cover video of Facebook homepage.

② Rotate and crop: Rotate the video by 90 degrees/180 degrees/270 degrees or flip it upside down or left and right. You can also drag the cropping frame or set a specific cropping area size to crop the video screen. Crop it to the optimal video size of 820x462px for the Facebook home page cover video.

III. How to upload the video cover of the Facebook home page?

Step 1: Go to your Facebook public homepage, click the (Change Cover) or (Add a Cover) button on the upper left corner of the homepage cover.

Step 2: If you wish to upload a new video as the video cover for your home page, click (Upload Photo/Video) and select a video from your computer.

Alternatively, if you prefer to use a video that you have uploaded, simply click on “Choose From Videos” to select it as the cover for your Page. Keep in mind that the video must be at least 820 x 312 pixels in size and should have a duration of 20 to 90 seconds.

Step 3: After uploading the video, you can reposition the video by clicking and dragging up and down. Once it is in the desired location, click (Next).

Step 4: Next, choose the thumbnail option for your video and enable the ability to select from 10 different thumbnails. When you’re ready, click the (Publish) button to complete the setup for your cover video.
