The first step we need to go through before using an iPhone is to activate the device. The activation will not only require on new iPhone but also on iPhone after reinstalling iOS system, jailbreak and reset. Part 1: How to Activate New iPhone Correctly?

1. Turn on iPhone: Insert the SIM card, and hold the power button until the Apple logo shows. Then it will shows Hello in different language. Follow the instructions to select your country, language and keyboard.

2. If you have another iPhone running iOS 11 or later edition, you can place them together and click [Quick Start]. Then the new iPhone will start to make the same settings as that in your nearby iPhone. If you just get 1 iPhone, please click [Start].

3. Please choose a Wi-Fi and enter the password of the Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet. Then activate the iPhone.

4. After activation, you will be required to set the Face ID, Touch ID and the Lock-screen passcode.

5. Choose the method to sync the data and Apps. If it is your first iPhone, please choose [Don’t Transfer Apps & Data]. If you have iCloud or iTunes backup, please select the related method to restore data and Apps.

6. If you have an Apple ID, please login the iPhone with that ID. If you do not have or forget the login password, please click [Create Apple ID].

7. Please follow the instruction to set the iCloud, Apple Pay and keychain after agreeing to Apple’s Term and Conditions and logging in Apple ID.

8. Then please follow the instructions to set other items like Siri and auto update.

9. After going through all the settings, click “Start” to use the iPhone.

The following steps works on normally work iPhone with SIM card. However, some people said that iPhone shows the notification that No SIM Card Installed. If you encounter such situation, please follow the steps below to activate the software.

1. Restart iPhone or Try with Another SIM Card

Please turn iPhone off and then take out the SIM card and reinsert. Then start iPhone. Or you can change another SIM card for trial.

2. Activate with iTunes

Another effective method is to activate the iPhone on PC with iTunes which is specially design for iPhone and other iOS devices. The interface and usage of iTunes is clear.

1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes from Apple.

2. Connect the new iPhone to computer with USB cable.

3. Select [Set up as new iPhone] after iTunes recognizing your iPhone.

4. Click [Continue] and you will be accessed to the “Sync with iTunes” window. Click [Start] and [Sync] and then wait.

5. Disconnect iPhone from computer after finish. Then please finish the rest steps on your iPhone.

1. Check the Wi-Fi status. If you are using cellular data, please connect the iPhone to stable Wi-Fi.

2. Restart iPhone.
