Renee Audio Tools is a free audio editor. Through the software, users can cut, merge audio files, convert between formats, adjust speed, volume and add audio effects. Such powerful functions can satisfy different users.

How to cut music:

① Open the software and select [Cutter].

② Click [Add Files] to select the target audio file(s).

③ Click [Cut]. Then, drag the progress bar or set the specific start and end time to cut the music.

④ Set effects for the cut music, such as fade in/out, volume and speed. Also, change the voice to male/female, monster, electric tone, cartoon, reverb, echo and the other vocal effects.

⑤ After that, click [OK] to go back the main interface. If you want to join several pieces of music, check [Merge all files into one].

⑥ Finally, select the output format, quality, output folder and click [Start] to save the file.

How to join music:

① Open the software and select [Joiner].

② Click [Add Files] to select two or more pieces of music.

③ Check [Merge all files into one] to select the output format, quality and output folder. Then, click [Start] to save the file.

How to convert format:

① Open the software and select [Converter].

③ At the top column, select the functions to edit the file.

④ Then, select the output format and quality. Click [Start] to convert the format and save the file.

How to edit music tag:

① If want to add information to the music, like title, artist and so on, click [ID3 Tag Editor].

② Click [Load File] to select the target files. Then, set the title, artist, album name, year and genre for your album.

③ Also, click [+] to add the album picture. Finally, click [Save] to keep your editing.

Part 2: FFmpeg Command

FFmpeg is an open-source project used to record, convert videos and audio to the specific formats. Through writing commands in FFmpeg, we can simply cut and join videos and audios. While if you do not know how to write commands, you can try the other approaches.

How to cut music:

① Refer to the steps in “how to download and install FFmpeg”. Install FFmpeg on PC.

② Open Command Prompt. Then, type [C:\Windows\System32\ffmpeg.exe -ss 00:01:00 -t 00:05:00 -i E:Renee1.mp3 -acodec copy E:Renee2.mp3] to cut the music.

This approach can cut any part out of the music. If you want to join several pieces of music, you should use the Copy command.

How to join music:

① In Command Prompt, type [copy /b "f:Renee1.mp3"+ "f:Renee2.mp3" "f:Renee.mp3"] to join pieces of music together.
