2. When there is no important data in the partition, rebuild the partition directly

If there is no important data in the lost/accidentally deleted partition, you can directly restore the partition in Disk Management. The specific steps are as follows:
Right-click the Start menu and choose Disk Management. Locate the desired hard disk, right-click the unallocated space, and choose New Simple Volume. Follow the wizard to set the partition size, assign a drive letter, and select the file system (NTFS is recommended for Windows users). After completing these steps, the new partition will be accessible in File Explorer.

III. Check and repair damaged hard disk

If you do not delete the hard disk partition by mistake, but find that the partition suddenly disappears, then the hard disk may be faulty or damaged, and you can check and repair it after rebuilding the partition.

1. Use the file system error checking function that comes with the Windows system

Specific steps are as follows:
Step 1: Open the file explorer, right-click on the hard disk partition, select (Properties) > (Tools), and click (Check) in the “Error checking” column.

2. Use the chkdsk command to repair the hard disk

Step 1: Search (cmd) directly in the search box in the lower left corner, and select (Run as administrator) to open the command prompt.

Step 2: Enter ( chkdsk F: /f /r /x ) command and press the (Enter) key to check and repair hard disk errors.
Chkdsk: Checks a volume’s file system and file system metadata for logical and physical errors.
F: Refers to the drive letter of the hard disk partition, which can be replaced according to the actual situation;
/f: will fix errors on disk;
/r: will find bad sectors and recover readable information;
/x: Refers to forcibly dismounting the volume if necessary; any open handles to the drive will be invalidated.
