Self-check the Problem

There are two ways to download the latest version of iTunes, either from the Microsoft Store or from the Apple.

● Download iTunes from the Apple
Steps:
① Launch iTunes and click [Help] on the menu bar. And then click [Check for Updates].
② Start the update by following the instructions.
If the [Check for Updates] option is not displayed, it means that you have downloaded iTunes from the Microsoft Store.
Solution 2: Reset Location and Privacy Setting on iPhone
When you plug your iPhone into computer, you are asked to trust that computer. If you accidentally touch “Don’t trust”, iTunes cannot recognize your iPhone. Just disconnect the iPhone from computer and reconnect it. And then, you simply touch “Trust”. But if the “Trust this computer” hint does not appear, you can only reset the settings.

Solution 3: Change the Data Cable and USB Port
When you encounter the problem that iTunes does not recognize my iPhone, it is sometimes necessary to check the data cable and the USB port.
First of all, you need to check if there is dust on the connection port. You can wipe down the port and reconnect. If the problem still exist, it means that the data cable is broken. It is recommended to use an original data cable or with MFI authorization to connect the iPhone and computer.

3. Press the Win and R keys. In the [Run] window, type [devmgmt.msc] to access the [Device Manager].
4. Display the [Apple Mobile Device USB Driver] option and find your connected iPhone, such as Apple iPhone. Right click the device name and select [Update Driver].
5. Click [Search automatically for updated driver software] and wait for the installation of the driver software. Once the installation is complete, you can go to [Settings], [Update and security] and [Windows Update] to check for updates.
After these steps, you can launch iTunes again to identify iPhone again.
2. For iTunes Downloaded from Apple Official Site

1. Disconnect the iPhone from computer and unlock the iPhone.
2. And then reconnect the iPhone to computer and make sure that iTunes is closed.
3. Press the Win and R keys. In the [Run] window, type % ProgramFiles% \ Common Files \ Apple \ Mobile Device Support \ Drivers and click [OK].
4. Right click the [usbaapl64.inf] or [usbaapl.inf] file. And then click [Install].
5. Disconnect your device from your computer. Restart computer and reconnect the device to computer to verify the connection.

Reinstall iTunes on Mac computer
iTunes is an integrated application in Mac OS. This is how you cannot uninstall iTunes by placing it in the trash. However, you can uninstall iTunes by modifying Apple permissions, the terminal and activity monitoring. Here we show you the easiest method is to uninstall iTunes by changing Apple permissions.

1. Exit iTunes and open [Finder]. In the left column, click [Applications].
2. Find the [iTunes] application. And then press the [Control] key and click iTunes. Then select [Get Info].

5. Return to the Finder window and move iTunes to the trash. Then empty the trash and restart computer. iTunes is uninstalled.
