Part 1: How to Set Auto-Lock Screen Time in iPad and iPhone

Auto-lock screen function will help users lock the screen automatically after the set time of sitting idle. For example, iPhone and iPad will auto lock the screen after 1 minute of silent. Auto-lock screen can ensure the security of the data inside the iPhone and iPad as well as save the battery. Also, users can check the phone call and message even the screen is locked. 1. Go to [Settings] in iPhone.

2. Find and click [Display & Brightness] in Settings.

3. Please choose [Auto-Lock].

4. Choose the desired lock screen time from 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or never.

If you want to disable the auto-lock function, just choose [Never] in the list.

5. Return to the main screen and the screen will lock automatically according to your settings.

Besides, function named Raise to Wake will raise the screen once user lift iPhone. You can turn it off if you want to raise the screen manually. Please repeat step 1 and 2 and then disable [Raise to Wake] after getting in [Display & Brightness] item.

Attention: Users will not be able to change the auto-lock settings when device is in Low Power Mode. If iPhone or iPad can not auto lock the screen as you set, you need to check whether your device is under low power mode which is set to lock screen in 30 seconds of sitting idle in default. To free from this status, just turn off the Low Power Mode in [Battery] of [Settings].

However, you may find that the auto-lock does not work on your device. Please follow the methods below to fix the problem.

Method 1: Check the auto lock setting s in your iPhone or iPad. If the auto-lock settings is disabled or choose [Never], screen will not lock automatically. Please go to [Settings], [Display & Brightness], [Auto-Lock] and choose the desire auto-lock time from the list. Please do not choose [Never].

Method 2: Restart your device.

Method 3: Change the Auto-Lock settings like from 1 minute to 30 seconds.

Method 4: Reset the passcode. Go to [Settings] and [Touch ID and Passcode]. Then enter the passcode to disable the passcode you set. Restart the device and set the passcode again.

Method 5: If you enable the AssistiveTouch on the iPhone, please disable it. Because this function may make the auto lock screen fails to work on iPhone or iPad. Please try again after disabling this function.
