About TS Files

TS (Transport Stream), fully known as MPEG-TS, is a container format for storage of audios. This format is mainly used for transmitting the real-time radio and television. The MPEG-TS video streaming can be independently decodable from any point. Therefore, we can see that the TS file has well fault-tolerant capacity.

“.ts” is the file extension of the TS file. Such file is supported by many multimedia players. If it cannot be recognized, you can change the extension to be “.mpg”.

① Download and install Renee Video Editor Pro. Then, launch it and click [Video Toolbox].

② Click [Add Files] to select the target files.

③ Check the option [Merge all files into one]. Apart from the TS files, it supports to combine them with the other files with different formats.

④ By clicking the mark [No transition], you can add some transitions between videos.

2. Copy Command

Using the copy command can join the TS files, too. This process is completed in the Windows command program. Yet, it only supports to combine video files at the same format. Or, you need to convert the formats beforehand. If you are not clear about how to write commands, the above method is easier.

① Press the keys [Win+R]. Type [cmd] in Run.

② Type the command [copy /b “e:video1.ts”+”e:video2.ts” “e:video.ts”] and press Enter to run it. These files will be one file soon.

③ When you need to join the TS files with the other video files, you should convert the formats. Please click the link if you want to know more about format conversion.

Note!When writing the copy command, you should write the addresses, the file names and the formats of the target files and then write about the output file. Within each part, the file information is joined with [+].
