How to record movie with Renee Video Editor Pro:

① Open Renee Video Editor Pro and select [Screen Recorder].

② Click the setting button at the right corner. Then, select the format (i.e. MP4) and the quality, resolution, frame rate and the output folder. Then, click [OK] to save these settings.

③ Then, select [User-Defined] in [Target], [Computer sounds] in [Audio] and the storage folder. Open the target video and click [Record].

④ Drag the box to select the area to record and then click on [Record] to record the movie.

⑤ As the video is finished, click on [Stop] to stop recording and save the video.

Windows 10 Game Bar (Windows)

This recording tool is in the Xbox program in Windows 10. It can help you quickly capture the game videos and the other online videos. However, it is only a screen recorder without any editing functions.

How to use:

① First, press [Win + G] to start Game Bar. In the pop-up window, check the option [Yes, this is a game].

② Then, complete the recording settings. Click the setting button > [Edit more options in Windows Settings] > [Game DVR]. Then, you can select the recording duration and decide whether it records in the background.

③ After that, press the keys [Win + Alt + R] to start recording. Game Bar will soon become the floating bar placed at the upper right corner. Click on [■] to stop recording.

QuickTime Player (Mac)

QuickTime Player can be used as a free screen recorder. We can easily record movies, desktop, webcam and audio data. It fits Mac users pretty much.

How to record movie with QuickTime:

① Open QuickTime Player. Click on [File] > [New Screen Recording].

② Press the downward facing arrow to select sound sources under [Microphone] and mouse under [Options]. Then, click the record button to select one of the recording types, full screen or a section of the screen.

③ To finish recording, click the “Stop” button in the menu bar. To save your recording, click [File] > [Save], and name the record file.

Google Chrome Extension - Loom (Online Recorder)

Loom is a free extension in Google Chrome, used as screen recorder. It is welcomed by YouTubers and bloggers. We can easily add it to Chrome and then record the webpage contents at one click. It is very convenient but it is only an online recorder easily affected by the network.

Steps:

① Open Google Chrome and search [Loom] in App Store. Then, click on [Add to Chrome].

② Click on its logo to open the extension. Users can set before recording. Here are three recording types, [Screen+Cam], [Screen Only] and [Cam Only]. You can also select the recoding area, [Full Desktop] or [Current Tab]. Besides, you can toggle off [Audio].

③ After that, click [Start Recording] to record web contents.

④ Click on [√] to stop recording. Soon the webpage will jump to its official site and the video will be temporarily saved. Select to encrypt, download, share or delete video.
