How to Erase Your Hard Drive Data Completely
The hard drive, the storage heart of any modern computer, contains all the files, and programs, including the operating system, that makes your computer run. For a number of reasons, it sometimes becomes necessary to erase your hard disk. For example,you are selling or giving your computer away and are worried about your personal data being found and used. Renee PassNow contains a function which allows you to destroy all data on hard and floppy drives completely, excluding any possibility of future recovery of deleted files.
How to erase hard drive data compeletly with Renee PassNow? Here is a practical example:
Step 1: Install the program, and create a Live USB/CD.
Select one option from [Crate a Live USB] and [Create a Live CD]. Then, select [x64] or [x86] according to your computer. Next, click on [Download Now] to download the licensed ISO. Remember to activate the software beforehand. After that, click on [Create USB] to create the boot media.
Step 2: Boot from Live USB/CD and launch the Drive Eraser Function.
Step 3: Select the drive you want to erase.
Tips:
The data eraser process is permanent. Be absolutely sure you want to erase the drive before doing so. Back-up any important data on other devices, such as CD or DVD-ROMs. After erasing your hard disk, it will be impossible to recover your data.
