① Double-click the power button to reject incoming calls

If you’re occupied and unable to take a call, simply double-tap the power button to end it. The caller will hear, “The device is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.”

② Turn on “Do Not Disturb Mode”

Enable “Do Not Disturb Mode” to block incoming calls during specific times, such as after midnight or while driving. Calls won’t interrupt you, and there will be no notification sounds, but you’ll receive a summary of missed calls afterward.

To activate the device, navigate to “Settings” > “Focus” > “Do Not Disturb Mode”, and toggle it on. Set your preferred schedule, whitelist certain contacts to bypass this mode, or activate “Repeated Calls” to ensure you don’t miss crucial calls during emergencies.

2. Reject the call through the settings on the iPhone device

To reject incoming calls on an iPhone, you can either block a number from the recent call log or directly from your contacts. Both methods ensure you won’t receive call notifications for the blocked numbers.

Step 1: Turn on the iPhone device, find “Phone” – “Contacts“, select the person you want to reject, and click to enter the user’s detailed page.

Step 2: Find the “Block this caller” at the bottom and click it, then the setting is successful. If you want to cancel the rejection of the friend’s call, the same operation method, click “Block this caller number” again to return to normal.

③ Set reject calls in the application settings

To manage your blocked contacts on an iPhone, first unlock your phone and proceed to Settings > Phone. Scroll down to find Blocked Contacts and tap it. If you wish to block a new contact, tap Add and select the desired contact from your list. To unblock someone, either swipe left on the contact’s name or tap Edit, then press the red button next to the contact you want to remove from the blocked list.

Note: This method is to add contacts to the blacklist to reject incoming calls. Once this setting is enabled, calls, messages, emails or FaceTime calls from friends in the blacklist will be blocked.

The method for declining calls through iPhone settings is not effective for blocking calls from public or unknown numbers on their first attempt.
