IV. Method to Force Initialize iPad / iPad mini / iPad pro
Method 1: Initialize the iPad device after entering recovery mode
① First, please download and install the latest iTunes on your Windows computer or Mac computer.
② Open iTunes, keep the iPad connected to the computer, and follow these steps to force restart the device. Be careful not to release the buttons when you see the Apple logo, wait until the recovery mode screen appears before releasing:
● iPad Pro with Face ID: Press and release the “Volume +” key, then the “Volume -” key; then press and hold the power button until the iPad Pro is in recovery mode.
● iPad / iPad mini with a Home button: Press and hold the Home button and the Top (or Side) button at the same time. Keep pressing both buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.
In some cases, your device’s system may be damaged so badly that it may not be able to initialize using Recovery Mode. If you encounter accidental quitting of iTunes during recovery mode, or the waiting time for recovery is too long, please try to initialize the iPad device through DFU mode.

For iPad/iPad mini with Home button:

If the iPad is not present or is lost, use the iCloud service for remote initialization instead of using recovery or DFU mode. To do this, execute the following command:
