Summary
Sometimes we are attracted by some music and audios in videos. How to split and save these music and audios? In this essay, related methods in Windows and Mac OS will be introduced to you.
These situations often occur in our daily life: we want to get a song in a video but it can not be found in the online music library; we want to keep the fantastic dialog in a video but we don’t know how to keep the audio only.
Now we will introduce some utility software to help you!
Part 1. Use Renee Video Editor Pro to Split Music and Audio from Video(Windows)
The method is only used for existed videos. Video formats, such as MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, AAC, AIFF, WAV, M4A and MKA are available.
① Install and download the software; select [Video Toolbox].
② Click [Add Files] to select target video.
③ Select an audio format (i.e. MP3) in [Output format] in order to transfer it from video format to audio format.
④ Select an output folder; click [Start] to save the audio file.
If you want to cut some unnecessary clips, you can follow these steps:
① Click [Add Files] to select the audio file; then select [Cut].
② Drag the progress bar or set the specific start and end time to cut the unnecessary clip.
③ Select the output format and the output folder, then click [Start] to save the cut audio.
Part 2. Use Renee Audio Recorder Pro to Record Audio(Windows)
Renee Audio Recorder Pro is user-friendly recording software, which can record sounds from PC, websites, software, programs and microphones. Common audio format, such as MP3, VOC, WMA, WAV, M4A and AAC are available in it. Besides, users can edit their audios and set the auto-record plan. Simple click can start the perfect record.
The method is used for online videos, such as webcast and other videos impossible to download. Common audio formats, such as MP3, VOC, WMA, WAV, M4A and AAC are available.
① Download and install Renee Audio Recorder Pro.
② Open the software; then click the [Settings] button beside [Output Format].
③ Select [Files]; set [Record From], [Output Format] and [Audio Bitrate], and then click [OK].
④ Start the targeted video, and click [Record].
⑤ When the video is finished, click [Stop] to save it.
Part 3. Use Windows Movie Maker to Split Music and Audio from Video(Windows)
Windows Movie Maker is a free video editor software. Its interface is very simple but it only supports M4A and WMA. If you want to extract MP3 or other formats, please refer to Part 1 and Part 2.
① Open Windows Movie Maker, then upload the targeted video.
② Select [File] > [Save movie] > [Audio only].
③ Select an audio format, and then the audio will be saved.
Part 4. Use iMovie to Seperate Music and Audio from Video (Mac OS)
iMovie is a video editor software for Mac. You can use it to simply edit videos in Mac. In the following, we will tell you how to split audios in iMovie.
① Open iMovie; select [Projects] > [Create New] > [Movie]
② Click [Import Media] to upload the targeted audio.
③ Click the share button at the top-right, and select [File].
④ Select [Audio Only] in the pop-up window; then select a file format and click [Next].
⑤ Name your file and select the output folder; click [Save] to keep the audio.
