1. Open the file that you want to send, then click on the Share button in the app window. Or, press the Ctrl key while clicking the file in the Finder, then select [Share] from the shortcut menu.

2. Select [AirDrop] from the sharing options listed and then select a recipient from the AirDrop sheet. As the file is successfully sent to the recipient, you can click on [Done] to quit the program.

Part 3: How if Device isn’t Discoverable?

On Mac:

·Select [Go] > [AirDrop] from the menu bar in the Finder, then check whether [AirDrop] is on.

·Select the option [Allow me to be discovered by] at the bottom of the AirDrop window. If it is set to receive from [Contacts Only], both devices must be signed in to iCloud. Besides, the email address or phone number associated with the sender’s Apple ID must be in the Contacts app of the receiving device.

·If the receiver is under macOS X Mavericks or the earlier versions, please ensure that the [AirDrop] window keeps open.

· Ensure to deselect [Block all incoming connections] under [Security & Privacy] in System Preferences.

On iPhone:

· Check the settings of AirDrop. If it is set to receive from [Contacts only], both devices must be signed in to iCloud. Besides, the email address or phone number associated with the sender’s Apple ID must be in the Contacts app of the receiving device.

· Check that you have turned off the option [Personal Hotspot] in Settings.
