I. What is motion blur?

Motion blur occurs when you capture moving objects with a slow shutter speed or in fast-motion scenes. It results in a blurred effect in your photos, videos, or movies. Motion blur happens when the motion is fast compared to the film speed or when using low shutter speeds for still images.

2. How to use Renee Video Editor Pro to add motion blur effect to video?

Step 1: After downloading Renee Video Editor Pro to the computer, open it and select the “Video Toolbox” button, click to enter.

Motion blur is extensively used in film to create the perception of motion. Movie cameras typically operate at 24 frames per second, which is the minimum required for the human eye to perceive motion. When viewing a series of still frames, motion blur helps the brain interpret the image as motion rather than stillness. Therefore, motion blur is essential in making movies visually natural.

Motion blur in gaming can enhance the experience for players with low-configuration equipment, resulting in smoother game screens. However, high-end PC devices may find motion blur unsatisfactory, leading to a loss of detail, particularly in fast-paced images. The issue becomes more pronounced with higher frame rates, which is why some players derogatorily label it as “stupid motion blur“.
