III. How to fix Windows 10 green screen error?

1. Disconnect all peripheral devices from the computer

Connected peripherals such as external hard drives, USB flash drives, power cords, and keyboards can trigger Windows 10 green screen failure. The easiest solution is to shut down the computer and disconnect all external devices one by one. If the green screen issue persists, reconnect the devices and try other troubleshooting methods.

2. Turn on safe mode

Since the Windows green screen error may prevent users from entering the system normally, starting the computer in safe mode before performing various repair methods is recommended. Safe mode is a special startup mode in Windows that only starts the basic files and drivers needed to run Windows, allowing for easy repair of system errors. The specific steps to enter safe mode are as follows:
Step 1: Press and hold the Power key button for 10 seconds to shut down the computer. Next, press the power key again to start the computer.

Insert a Windows installation disk (DVD or USB) into your computer. Press F2, F10, DEL, or ESC shortcut key to enter the BIOS setting interface when starting up.
