I. Reasons why the Windows 7/8/10 system cannot be started and the corresponding solutions

Now the Windows systems commonly used by users are Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. So when using these versions of the system, what problems will cause the system to fail to start? Let’s take a look at the reasons and corresponding methods for the Windows system to fail to start.

1. Computer power supply or screen device connection problem

If your computer doesn’t start, ensure the power source is connected and the power button is functional. Both notebooks and desktops usually have an indicator light on the power button; if it’s unlit, check the power connection and button condition. For desktops, also verify the monitor’s cable connection to the tower; an unconnected monitor will result in a black screen despite the tower powering on.

You can try to unplug the power supply and reconnect it, if it still doesn’t work, please replace the new power cord and try again; if the power button is broken, then you may need to go to the computer repair shop to replace the new power button. Additionally, take a close look at the motherboard to identify oxidation or connection issues, which are common culprits that can impede normal startup.
Solution
To maintain optimal performance of your computer, it is essential to ensure hardware connections are both secure and free of dust. This can be achieved by carefully disassembling the components, cleaning the contacts with an eraser, and then reassembling everything to its original configuration. In the event that the motherboard shows signs of severe oxidation or has sustained external damage, it is advisable to either seek professional repair services or consider replacement of the affected part.

3. Computer virus

Viruses can prevent a computer from starting correctly. If a user downloads software or videos without proper security checks, the files may harbor viruses that can damage the system and impede proper startup.
Solution
You can install some anti-virus software on the computer, and conduct regular anti-virus checks on the computer. It is recommended not to download software on the website at will. When downloading software or videos, you need to download it from the official website. If your computer has a virus, you can try restore system or Reinstall the system to solve.

4. Problems with external devices

Devices external to the computer may cause the computer to fail to start, such as printers, USB mobile hard drives, and so on.
Solution
Before starting the computer, remove all external devices.

II. How to use Renee Passnow to transfer computer files that cannot be started

1. What is Renee Passnow?

Renee Passnow is an all-encompassing system rescue utility for Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, XP, and Vista. Its robust capabilities include Windows account password reset, file backup, hard disk wiping, data recovery, and data transfer. Additionally, it can rectify prevalent Windows complications such as MBR boot record errors, DBR error parameters, 0xc00000e, startup failures, and black or blue screen errors.

2. How to use Renee Passnow to transfer data

The specific operation is as follows:
Step 1: You need to install Renee Passnow on a computer that can run normally. After the installation is complete, start the software and connect a blank U disk or CD to the computer.
Step 2: Select the creation method in the program: (Create a Live USB) or (Create a Live CD). Then select (x64) or (x86) according to the system type, click the (Download Now) button to download the ISO file. After the download is complete, click (Create Rescue USB), and after the USB boot disk is created, click (Eject USB).
Note: The process of creating a rescue U disk will erase all the data in the U disk, so if the U disk contains important files, please make a backup in advance or save it in another disk. In addition, the system type can be viewed in the system information, right-click the (Start) menu, and then select (System)->(About)->(Device Specifications)->(System Type).

Step 3: Connect the bootable device to the target Windows computer, power it on, and immediately look for the BIOS entry key prompt on-screen—it flashes briefly, typically for 1-2 seconds. If necessary, consult the computer’s manual for the specific key. Press this key repeatedly to access the BIOS settings. Within the BIOS (Boot) menu, prioritize the USB device or CD-ROM drive as the primary boot option, then save and exit.
Note: If you create a rescue U disk, select (Removable Devices) as the first boot item, and if you create a rescue CD, select (CD-ROM Drive) as the first boot item.

Step 4: When the computer is successfully booted from the rescue disk, select the Data Transfer function on the software interface, and click (Run).

Step 5: Select the original hard disk and the target hard disk on the interface, and directly drag and drop the files to be transferred to the new hard disk to successfully transfer the data.
