YouTube Kids Is Coming: Non-Algorithmic Version

On April 7, 2018, BuzzFeed News reported that YouTube was going to release a new version of App that will be non-algorithmic and will recommend content from YouTube Curators Handpicks. Meanwhile, content and videos will be filtered manually in a strict way.
YouTube has already provided a kids App called YouTube Kids. But parts of the content suggested by algorithm is not perfect because some recommended content is not suitable for kids extremely. It was reported by Business Insider last month that YouTube Kids App recommended children with some inappropriate and misunderstanding videos concerning shape of the earth, moon landing and whether Alien exists or not.
YouTube is continuously trying to provide a better situation for children when watching videos. For example, it gets rid of advertisement from videos, limit age for marked content and increase forum moderators. Last month YouTube announced that videos would be checked according to Wikipedia so that misinformation would be cleared.
When will the new version of YouTube Kids be released? “It will be this month” BuzzFeed said.The new version of YouTube kids App will be an option that parents can choose.
