Reasons of Blue Screen of Death in Windows 10
Reason One: Power outage may cause Windows 10 blue screen. Such as you may receive “DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE” error code. Besides, blue screen of death may happen if the PC connects to external devices or problematic data cable.
Reason Two: Hardware failure is one of the reasons why blue screen of death occurs in Windows 10. Usually there’s error code in the screen such as “PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA”, “MEMORY_MANAGEMENT”, “SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED”, etc.

How to Fix Blue Screen of Death in Windows 10?
Note: Sometimes blue screen of death can be fixed by trying to restart the PC. Please refer to the following solutions to fix the blue screen if it still appears after rebooting the PC.
Solution 1: Check Computer’s Hardware and Data Cables
Step 1: If there’s something wrong with data cable and hardware, please take them off and reset. And it’s necessary to replace them if they get damaged.
Step 2: Try to remove the new hardware or external devices and then restart the PC. If blue screen still cannot be fixed, please try Solution 2.
Solution 2: Uninstall Problematic Software in Safe Mode
If blue screen occurs due to software, it’s suggested to uninstall the problematic software via safe mode.
Step 1: Turn on the PC. Hold down the power button two times before manufacturer logo appears. When you go into Windows recovery environment, select “Troubleshoot”.
Step 2: Then select “Advanced Options”> “Startup Settings”. Click “Restart”.
Step 3: After restarting the PC, press 4 or F4 to enable safe mode.
Step 4: In safe mode, press “Win” + “I” key to open “Windows Settings”. Select “Apps”. Then you can uninstall the problematic software.
Solution 3: Perform Startup Repair in Windows Recovery Environment
In Windows recovery environment, performing startup repair can scan system as well as fix damaged files and BCD. It aims to repair startup issue including blue screen of death.
Step 2: Change the boot order in BIOS Setup and put “Removable Devices” as the first boot choice. Then your PC will boot from Windows installation disk.
Step 3: Click “Repair your computer” in the bottom-left corner after you boot your PC from USB drive.
Step 4: When you enter Windows recovery environment,
select “Troubleshoot”> “Advanced Options”> “Startup Repair”.
Note: Restart the PC after the recovery process finishes.
Solution 4: Use SFC /Scannow to Fix System Files
System files are damaged or missing? Completing the steps below will help you out.
Step 1: Repeat

select “Troubleshoot”> “Advanced Options”> “Command Prompt”.
Step 2: Once command prompt pops up,
type in: sfc /scannow. Press “Enter”. Then system file check will scan and repair the corrupted files.
Note: Restart the PC after the repair process finishes.
Solution 5: Rebuild Missing or Corrupted BCD
This way will help you rebuild BCD that is missing or damaged.
Step 1: Repeat

select “Troubleshoot”> “Advanced Options”> “Command Prompt”.
Step 2: Once “Command prompt” pops up, type these commands in order:
bootrec / fixmbr,
bootrec / fixboot,

bootrec / rebuildbcd. Please press “Enter” after you type each command.
Note: Executing the above commands will scan Windows system and rebuild BCD.
Solution 6: Perform System Restore or Reinstall System
