In the upcoming Spring Creator Update, Timeline is one of the new functions that are worth concerning. And users activities be managed by more effective methods. That is, Windows will collect user’s activity history so that it can be used in the future. However, some users who care privacy security would not like to activate this function. Here are two ways on how to disable it in system.
Method 1 – Use Settings
Timeline has been combined in Settings, but it does not directly present like other settings. In Windows 10 RedStone 4, users can disable Timeline through the following path: Settings > Privacy > Windows permissions > Activity history > Disable “Let Windows collect my activities from this PC”
Method 2 – Use Registry
The second method is to use registry editor. It is recommended to backup before modifying the registry because system stability and performance could be influenced if adjustment failed.
