Summary

Part 2: Enable Auto Login

If you have multiple accounts or you set login password for your account, you will be required to enter the password before accessing Windows 7. If you enable the auto login, you can save the time by skipping the account selection and password enter process.
Step 1 : Press Win + R button.

Step 2: Enter “netplwiz” in the pop-up window and then click “OK”.

Step 3: Select the account you want to enable the auto login in the account selection page.
Step 4: Please do not check the item “User must enter a user name and password to use this computer”. Then click “OK”.

Step 5: Enter the password of target account. Then click “OK” to save the setting. You will login your account automatically.

Part 3: Replace HDD with SSD

Part 4: Disable GUI Boot

Step 1: Press Win + R button.

Step 2: Enter “msconfig” to get access to the system configuration interface.

Part 5: Disable Auto Startup Software

More and more software that will be installed as we use the computer. Some software will set themselves to boot with system in default. We can disable such auto startup software to solve the Windows 7 slow startup.
Step 1: Press Win + R button.

Step 3: Click “Startup” tab. Please do not check the software you do not want it start as system boot.

Please keep the system related services and software to startup automatically. Because disabling such software could lead to system corruption.
